Dark roasted malts for roast, chocolate, and coffee-like flavors.

The CARAFA SPECIAL line (you must shout it in your head) offers debittered/dehusked roasted malted barley for easy color adjustment and withholding roast. Carafa doesn't seem to actually mean anything fun, other than it was trademarked in 1926 and the name stuck.
