- Imparts a noticeable but not aggressive amber color - "throws an amber hue"
Practical Usage
Crystal 40 is versatile malt for lighter sweetness, but roasted enough to not be easily overpowered by competing ingredients. Will announce its presence in lighter beers. Can be a signature player in ambers, pales, and reds.
