Storytime
Cascade starred in the American Pale Ale creation story in the mid 1970s. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a case study of cascade, and, being its sole hop, displays considerable complexion in flavor and aroma if you think about it. Still one of the most popular and versatile hops in the US.

Practical Use
Can be a main feature or supporting hop. Routinely used in most American beer styles. When combined with other hops or in more complex beers like barleywine or stout, the delicate citrus note can drop quickly - and as a supporting hop may drift into part of the beers complexity.
Best for: Late boil, whirlpool, and dry hopping. Typical rates: 0.5–2 oz per 5 gal for flavor/aroma, 3–6+ oz for heavy dry hopping. Brew day tip: Add at flameout or whirlpool to keep the bright citrus and floral notes. Dry hop late in fermentation for maximum aroma. Plays well with Centennial, Chinook, and Citra.
